A conversation between Victoria Donovan and Michał Murawski focused on the relationship between “critical area studies” and book publishing against the grain of the academic standard. The conversation will focus on Anti-Atlas: Critical Area Studies from the East of the West (eds. Tim Beasley-Murray, Wendy Bracewell and Michał Murawski, UCL Press, 2025); and dakh (дax): vernacular hardcore. Mini–Atlas (the guide to the Ukrainian pavilion at the 2025 Venice Biennale of Architecture, ed. Michał Murawski, Dzeherelo/Kiosk International, 2025); as well as Limits of Collaboration: Art, Ethics and the Donbas (by Darya Tsymbalyuk and Victoria Donovan, Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, 2022).
